Not exactly a feel good movie but a good movie with good acting. Check it out if you're a fan of Jennifer Connelly. Have you ever noticed how in three of her movies there's a scene where she's standing over a pier?
Cashing in on the cloning debate. What if you can clone humans and also their memories? That would make cool movie wouldn't it?
While not as ridiculous as I expected it to be some parts of the
movie was still pretty lame. Or maybe it was meant to be either way I enjoyed it-- it was funny and also had Arnold in it.
I think it's time for a new poll. How about if I use my ingenuity to come up with one? Whaddya say Xiaoxin? More polls could create more interest ... bring in more miccahphiles ... good idea, eh?
The Shining re-enacted by bunnies in 30 seconds.
theembassyvfx.com made this neat robot police video made as a demostration of their talents. Quicktime video.
This movie is a story about of Frank Abagnale Jr. For those who don't know Frank stole millions in the 60s by writing bad checks. He also impersonated airline pilot, doctor, lawyer and a teacher and did this mostly in his teens. The man also escaped from capture many times. Of course this movie isn't very accurate and leaves out details that I find interesting. I am disappointed by that. Frank is an amazing social engineer and I would have liked to seen them show more detail of everything he did. Still the movie by it self is entertaining.
I finally got a chance to see this movie. Jack Black is one of my favorite actor/musicians. Why? He's funny and talented! I guess I've been a fan since the Tenacious D HBO specials. I've been to a Tenacious D concert and I've bought Tenacious D stuff. So this review maybe biased. He was great in this movie. I thought this movie was very entertaining and the music was rock-a-licious!
A classic Akira Kurosawa's movie. Yojimbo inspired Fist Full of Dollars (Clint Eastwood) and Last Man Standing (Bruce Willis). Fortunately I've seen neither of these movies. Yojimbo stands on it's own. A great movie, and not too terribly long (compared to Seven Samurai). Check it out if you want to see a classic.
Not a big fan of horror films, so I found it a bit difficult to review this film, especailly when there's not chopping of body parts, blood, or humor. Also the surprise at the end wasn't much a surprise. I kind of guessed.
I was not wooed by this John Woo movie. I am very apprehensive when it comes to John Woo. I like his earlier works when he was a HK director. But once he came to Hollywood, his movies are way overdone pieces of crap. So every time he comes out with a movie, I sincerely want him to redeem himself. Not this time. Not with this film, and not with Ben Affleck.
This movie was terrible beyond words. First, the plot. A miserable failure. Second, the acting. Failure failure failure! Watching Ben Affleck puffing out his chest is not action! Slow mo is not action. It's terrible and I couldn't wait for the movie to end.
